Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page, here's my story....

I am lucky enough to have been selected to run the 2012 London Marathon for the Epilepsy Society. This is very close to my heart as the condition has directly affected my close family.

The Epilepsy Society is the leading national epilepsy medical charity working for everyone affected by epilepsy, through their cutting edge research, awareness campaigns and expert care. Please visit: www.epilepsysociety.org.uk/ for more information or to get involved.

As well as helping this worthy cause, I will be fulfilling a personal lifetime goal to run the London Marathon and am very excited about the big day on 22nd April 2012.

I have been training hard and it's going well despite a slight blip over the festive period due to an ankle injury.

Now, I understand we all have friends who may have run a marathon and raised money for various great charities in the past, but I have made the brave and slightly bonkers decision to run my first marathon in fancy dress! This will probably be in the form of a swan outfit or something similar, so that's surely got to be worth dipping into your pockets for?

Whilst I understand these are still very tough times, I hope you can spare something and donate to this worthy cause. It would also be great if you can come along on the day and support me as I will need all the help I can get to run the 26.2 miles without stopping.

So please dig deep and donate now.

Thank you and best wishes,

Ian

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
