Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I have decided to take part in the Hartlepool Boxing Day Dip 2009 in aid of Hartlepool and District Hospice.
The Boxing Day Dip is a charity event where people in fancy dress swim in the sea on Boxing Day. There are several such dips held around Europe, but the largest is organised by the Lions Club of Hartlepool, England. Participants are expected to wear fancy dress and jump into the North Sea. Google the boxing day dip hartlepool and you can watch videos of brave people doing this event year after year..
Hartlepool and District Hospice exists to improve the lives of people affected by life limiting illness or the death of a loved one. As the only adult Hospice in the Hartlepool and east Durham area of the UK, our comprehensive range of services are both vital and unique.
Living with a serious illness, such as cancer, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, multiple sclerosis and end stage heart disease, or coping with grief affects every individual in profoundly different ways. Therefore, our team of highly trained staff and volunteers work together with every person and those close to them to tailor a package of care, comfort and support to meet their unique physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual needs.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
I know with the cost of Christmas being around the corner and people from all angles asking you to donate money it is getting more difficult to support everybody. All i would ask is that if you can spare anything please donate to this worthwhile local charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
Happy Dipping everyone.
Ian
