Update  10th June:

So the race was run and the dust has settled - we all did it!

Emma started us off on the Saturday in the blistering heat. Despite this she managed a great time of 1:47:55.

Sunday saw the blokes take the stage, results as follows:

Adam   1:29:34

Alex      1:26:53

Colin     1:24:44

Ian         1:24:44

A great time was had by all - thank you so much to everyone who supported us. Your generosity has stunned us all and is going to a truly excellent cause!

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

An ill-advised drunken pact has led us to agreeing to all compete in the Blenheim Sprint Triathlon - 750m Swim, 20k Bike, 5k Run on the weekend of 5th/6th June 2010.

Putting aside the risks of drowning and serious injury, we would like something positive to come out of it so we're trying to raise a bit for a charity close to our hearts, the Down's Syndrome Association.

This is a fantastic charity which does great work, championing the cause of people with Down's Syndrome. They have provided great support to Ian and Karen since Edie took centre stage three and a half years ago.

A serious training schedule is already in place with Colin already shedding pounds following the strategic decision to contract a gastro-intestinal infection whilst on business in Russia, and Ian is getting extra miles in cycling due to an inability to read maps. Alex is a bit of a veteran of these things so will be showing us how it's done. But we're all a bit worried about being humiliated by Emma - apart from Adam for whom this is a daily and consensual arrangement.

So if you would like to support us and, more importantly the DSA, please use the links on screen...and thank you!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Thanks for your support!
