Green Shift Staff and myself from Mars Petcare, Melton Mowbray will walk 17 miles around Rutland Water in the dark to highlight the challenges of blind or partially sighted people and raise money for Guide Dogs for the Blind.

Guide Dogs for the Blind provide mobility and freedom to blind and partially sighted people. They have also been expertly breeding and training guide dogs for more than 75 years, providing many thousands to blind and partially-sighted people of all ages and from all walks of life.

My father was partially sighted from glaucoma and eventually went blind - guide dogs are essential to enable  blind and partially sighted people gain their independance.
