Grace House North East offers a range of specialist services to support children and young people who have complex disabilities and associated health needs, and their whole family.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am starting a seven day Kilimanjaro climb on 07 September 2009 with some friends and would like to raise money for the Grace House Children's Hospice Appeal.

The charity urgently needs funds to build, equip and run a much needed eight bed hospice for children across the North East. The hospice, as well as providing both respite and terminal care will also offer support to siblings and parents. During a harrowing and sad period, this help will hugely enhance the quality of the limited time the children and their families have together.

The North East currently has the lowest number of children's hospice beds in the whole country. The Grace House Appeal is getting close to the money needed so your donation will really make a difference.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Kilimanjaro is 5,895 metres so for those with a sense of humour sponsoring me for the last 5 metres will help keep me going.
