Hi Ian & Myra Forrester here....Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

We have entered our convertible XKR Jaguar 4.8 In this years Monte Carlo or Bust Car Rally  The rally  starts  at London waved off  by the  actress Susan Hampshire on Sun. 12 September  and finishes (Hopefully) in Monte Carlo on Wed. 15th September the chequered flag dropped by the famous Murray Walker!!!!!

The rally is a fairly luxurious trip through England, France, Germany, Switzerland, Italy and onto Monaco and we will be driving approx. 400 + km per day...

This trip is of course a holiday for us  but a really great feature of  the entry is that every team (35 teams are participating)  must raise at least £1000 for a nominated charities  which in our case is "Help for Heroes" (reg no.1120920)

It is said that if you do something for charity you must put some personal effort and possiblly some pain. Well, the route of the rally goes through some of the scariest mountain passes in the world  namely.... Gothtard ,San Bernardino ,Furka,Col de Turini and the Bei St.Stefano Roero Passes.......Having done a couple of these passes last year  I know how totally teriffied that I ( Ian) will be driving over them as I am very scared of heights so believe me I will have by the end  earned any charity  donations raised......
