GRACE HOUSE APPEAL is a charity raising funds to build a children's hospice to serve children and their families across the North East. There are over 1200 children in the region who have life-limiting and terminal conditions. These children cannot be cured and are not expected to reach adulthood.

My story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I thought it time for me to do something to support Grace House Childrens Hospice, with only 12 children's hospice bed's from the borders of Scotland to the borders of North Yorkshire, the North East has the lowest provision of beds in the UK. Leaving many families to cope alone with the tremendous daily pressures they face.

At present there are 1,000 children throughout the North East who are not expected to reach adulthood.

Grace House will be an 8 bedded hospice caring for childern with life limiting conditions and their families offering respite, pailiative and emergency care along with sibling counselling and bereavement support. They receive no government funding towards the build of Grace House so every penny comes from the charitanble sector.

Please, please help me raise at least £500 by sponsoring me to swim 1 mile across Lake Windermere this September
