Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As my good friend is a trustee of DCWC Nepal, I have agreed to try and raise as much money for this great cause.
DCWC Nepal is a charity based in the North-west of England, they raise money to build facilities in Nepal that you and me take for granted. By late summer 2010 DCWC Nepal had built twelve schools and completed the build of a community hospital in rural Kavre.
More of their work can be found on their website: http://www.dcwcnepal.org
If I can help at all in this great cause I would be delighted.
I am participating in the 3 peaks challenge on the 9th of June. This involves climbing 3 of the highest mountains in Britain in 24 hours.
The first climb will be Ben Nevis (after a 5 and a half hour journey) which is 1,344 m (4,409 ft) high, nice easy start!
After another 5 and a half hours on the road we hit Scafell Pike in the Lake District. This is a more gentle 978 m (3,209 ft) high and should be a breeze after stiffening up in the mini bus (!!!).
Then back in the minibus for another 4+ hours on the road on the way to Mount Snowdon for a 1,085 m (3,560 ft) walk. (Can we not get the train?)
If you can spare any money it would be greatly received by myself, DCWC Nepal and the lovely people of Nepal.
Ian
