The Optimum Health Clinic is an integrative medicine clinic run by those personally affected by ME/CFS/Fibromyalgia. We are currently fundraising for a randomised controlled trial into our treatments with the long-term aim of NHS funding being available for those unable to afford treatment.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My daughter, Kate, became ill with ME nearly 7 years ago, and at her worst was bedbound and barely able to move or speak without incredible pain. There were times we thought it may never end, but after much hard work and particularly upon finding Alex, Anna and The Optimum Health Clinic two years ago she has made remarkable progress. Thanks to their dedicated team of staff and the highly effective skills they teach in managing ME we can now be certain Kate will make a full recovery. In the meantime, I want to support the clinic and the work that they do to treat, research and raise awareness of this incredibly debilitating illness and in the process hopefully help others.

Prior to being sick Kate was ridiculously fit and active, and cycling was among many sports that we enjoyed together. I am doing this coast to coast cycle with three friends to raise money for The Optimum Health Foundation. Our aim is to raise a minimum of £2000 and we will appreciate all the support we can get to get ourselves from one side of the country to the other!

We will cycle with not just Kate, but all ME sufferers in mind, and in the confident hope that she and many others who are currently struggling with the illness will be able to do similar one day. So, even if you can contribute just a small amount, please do support us in supporting The OHC and its patients. Thank you :-)

So please dig deep and donate now.
