Our purpose is to ensure immediate mental health support is presented to individuals following a harmful online search via innovative technology and consisting of a choice of help and resources to prevent self-harm and suicide.

Story

I'll never forget that early morning call from a friend telling me the heartbreaking news about Josh. Not long after his tragic passing, his sister Alice, helped set up R;pple - to give help and hope to those who need it, so their families and friends might never experience the same heartbreak Josh's did.

R;pple is an online interceptive tool designed to bring more help and support to people who're making online searches about self-harm or suicide.

R;pple shows a display on a user’s device once they've been flagged as searching for harmful content, and gives a message of hope, and a selection of mental health resources in different options (call, text, webchat, apps) from 24/7 charity services.

Through R;pple, someone feeling despair and looking for harmful content will be urged to seek the mental health support they need and deserve, in a way that works best for them.

If R;pple had been around this time two years ago, Josh might be too. But now there's help for others. Please help spread that hope by supporting this cause.
