Birmingham Half Marathon 2010 · 24 October 2010 ·

We work with men and boys to challenge harmful cultures that lead to harassment, abuse and violence. Our White Ribbon Ambassadors and Champions engage with men and boys to call out such behaviour among their peers and promote a culture of equality and respect.

Story

My Name is Ian Hines and I am doing the Birmingham Half Marathon where I am raising money for the White Ribbon Campaign Men Ending Violence Against Women

The White Ribbon Campaign is the largest global effort of men working to end Violence Against Women. White Ribbon Day falls each year on 25th November, the International Day for the Eradication of Violence Against Women.

The UK Campaign is run primarily by volunteers to encourage men and boys to reflect upon their own and their friends attitudes towards women. They do so by working with schools, workplaces and other organisations to raise awareness of the issue.

More can be found at www.whiteribboncampaign.co.uk or in Scotland at www.whiteribbonscotland.org.uk.

Donations can also be made by calling me at Alliance Counselling on 07809216426.

Thank you for your donation which will allow thems to purchase the educational materials they require.
