Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In August 2011 my Mother - Edith - was told she had cancer. Since then she has undergone operations, chemotherapy & radiotherapy without complaint. The people who have evoked her sympathy have been the many youngsters she has met in treatment & waiting rooms. After getting our heads together we decided that we would like to raise whatever money we could for Cyclists Fighting Cancer.

On the 23rd of June this year I shall be taking part in the Celtman Extreme Triathlon which takes place in the far North West Highlands of Scotland. This Ironman distance triathlon will involve a 2.1 mile sea swim, 124 mile bike ride & finish with a 26.2 mile marathon which will go over two 3000 ft mountains. It will be a long day.

Cyclists Fighting Cancer is a small charity making a massive difference to the life of those they help across the country. With the kind support of the public & fundraisers they are able to continue making this difference to families & youngsters affected by cancer. They hope to supply 250 awards in 2012, this will make their total, since they started in 2006 to over one thousand!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

Many thanks,

Ian & Edith
