The NKF is a National charity that provides support and information to patients, families and healthcare professionals affected by kidney disease. Our aim is to improve the quality of life and support kidney patients and their families as well as lobby for renal improvements.

Story

Hi!  Thanks for taking the time to visit my Justgiving page.

Having suffered from kidney failure for most of my adult life (a side effect of intensive chemo-therapy treatment for cancer as a teenager), I was lucky enough to receive a transplant on the 4th December 2008.

The transplant has been a huge success and has given me a 'third' chance at life that I aim to make the most of!

To give something back and raise awareness of the NHS Organ Donor Register ( www.organdonation.nhs.uk) I will be walking the Wolds Way (80 miles over 5 days) beginning on 7th September 2009 to raise money for the National Kidney Federation.

Please donate if you can and help change somebody else's life. Thank You.
