Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I'm doing the 'Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge' on 22nd September 2011 in order to raise funds for The Wellspring, a Stockport based resource centre for homeless and disadvantaged people. Their doors are open every day serving over 30,000 free meals a year to those who would otherwise go hungry.
The Yorkshire 3 Peaks challenge involves a day's continuous hike of 23.5 miles and includes 3 big climbs totalling 5202 feet. This represents a big personal challenge for me as whilst I like to keep fit with swimming and cycling, hiking is not really 'my thing'.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
I, and The Wellspring, would be extremely grateful for any contribution you can give, however small. Most of us are 'feeling the pinch', however more and more people are getting into real dire straits and the support provided by The Wellspring is critical. http://www.thewellspring.btck.co.uk/Membersstories
