Story

I have the honour of being able to take part in the Everest Base Camp Trek 2012 in aid of Walking with the Wounded.

As the son of a soldier this is a charity and cause which is close to my heart.

I attended the same school as one of the co-founders of WWTW Simon Daglish and through him was extremely privileged to meet the truly inspirational Jaco Van Gass and listen to the incredible story of their expedition to the North Pole last year.

To hear that they were then intending to climb Everest was nothing short of amazing.

Having done nothing more dangerous than sitting behind a desk in the city for over 20 years, this trek is both a chance in a lifetime and a fantastic opportunity to help raise money for WWTW, to give something back to the incredible service men and women who have been injured in the line of duty.

The funds raised finance new qualifications, courses and further education for those who are seriously injured. It enables the blind, the burn victims, the mentally injured, the amputees and all the other wounded personnel to rebuild their lives and to return to the work place.

Thank you in advance for your kind donation
