Every two hours someone in the UK is paralysed by a spinal cord injury. It can happen to anyone at any time and no one is prepared for how it will change their life. Aspire is a national charity that provides practical help, supporting spinal cord injured people from injury to independence.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Every eight hours, someone in the UK is paralysed by spinal cord injury. Disability is expensive and lightweight wheelchairs can cost up to £4,000. Through Aspire grants, Aspire helps buy lightweight wheelchairs, so people can live more independent lives. Aspire also visits newly injured patients in hospital to offer support and advice, and point people to services such as Aspire Housing, which is a temporary accessible housing solution. They also train people, regardless of their level of injury, to use computers with the aid of Assistive Technology.

The commitment of your sponsorship will mean that Aspire can help many more people with spinal cord injuries to live independent and fulfilled lives.

Thank you very much in advance for your sponsorship.

Ian and the Channel Swim Relay team.
