Story
On Saturday 6th July and Sunday 7th July I will be hiking up Ben Nevis. Here is my story to why:
I’ve been doing a lot of fitness and challenging activities lately. I really enjoy been outdoors and up the peaks, so I though that this year I would take it up notch and go for hiking up Ben Nevis. It’s classed as the highest peak in the UK and is surrounded by ineradicable scenery.
I have wanted to help raise money for charity but I couldn’t decide on which one, until I discovered a young little boy called Joseph. Joseph is the Godson of a very close friend of mine and in January he was diagnosed with the dreaded C word Cancer.
Joseph is having frontline treatment for stage 4 Neuroblastoma, an aggressive childhood cancer. With this Ben Nevis challenge and I am trying to raise funds for the Neuroblastoma Alliance UK because they will help Joseph if he needs clinical treatment that is only available abroad. Joseph has a long road ahead of him before remission but I would like to fundraise for Neuroblastoma Alliance UK now so that funds are available should treatment abroad be required. The charity helps children if they need clinical treatment that is only available abroad. To date, they have enabled 21 children to access the potentially life-saving clinical treatment abroad they needed and have funded ground-breaking Neuroblastoma research. They also support families and we are assured that if Joseph needs their help at any stage or in the future they will fully support him.
I would really appreciate it if you could all help me raise as much money as possible for Joseph and his family on their journey to recover and help give them every opportunity along the way. Please dig deep as they say, this could help change his life.
