We undertake research for choriocarcinoma/gestational trophoblastic disease where Charing Cross is the world's largest centre for this disease. Lung cancer research at Hammersmith Hospital. Testicular and ovarian germ cell tumour research

Story

Until January 8th 2010, I had absolutely no idea what a Gestational Trophoblastic Tumour was (if you would like to know more, please click on the following link http://www.hmole-chorio.org.uk/index.html).

By the end of that day, my wife Pam had started her course of chemotherapy and I understood exactly what it meant and what was to follow.

But like many others before, we then came to meet amazing people like Professor Michael Seckl, Shaun and Sara and began to realize that we were in very good hands, both in terms of the expert care Pam was about to receive, but also due to all of the research that had been undertaken into this disease in the preceding years.

Since July 30th when Pam was given the all clear, I have been determined to do something to raise money for a cause that will always be very close to my heart and I thought I would start with 2010’s Windsor Half Marathon.

Given the amount of training I have done! I will need to borrow some of the strength & courage my wife showed during her treatment to help get me round. She is certainly my inspiration but your donations will also give me that little extra on top (trust me, I will need it!).

My sincere thanks for whatever you are able to donate.
