Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As many of you know, Jo and I lost our wonderful daughter Chloe last May. Chloe became ill at Christmas and went from one serious problem to another, which caused irreparable damage to her heart and she lost her battle against this horrible disease just two weeks after her 16th birthday. We always knew that it was unlikely that Chloe would out live Jo and I, which was a living curse in itself, but we had no indication she would be taken from us so soon and neither did her specialists!

I am running the marathon to raise money for the Charity and provide funds primarily to allow the other children with this condition to do and enjoy things that they cannot afford to do! I want them to be able to live out their dreams now, whilst they still can!!

On a personal note, I have started training late and as much,  you can sponsor me to run the London marathon in 10 weeks time or you could alternatively sponsor me to lose the 20Kgs I need to lose in order to do it!!!

Thank you so much for your support as Alström Syndrome UK is a very small charity and any donations make a big difference!

yours sincerely.
