Simon Adams/Father Abraham Campaign 2010 - 2011 · 31 December 2011 ·

Motor Neurone Disease moves fast. It takes away time, it takes away independence and it has no cure. Every day we support people affected by MND. We fund ground-breaking research. We campaign for better care. We’re here for everyone who needs us. Because with MND, every day matters.

Story

ABBOTS WAY WALK JUNE 26TH 2010

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I'm walking with some friends the Abbots Way between Buckland Abbey and Buckfast Abbey to raise money for Simon Adams £1million fundraising drive  for the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

The route is 22 miles and will take me over Dartmoor following the route used by monks since the early 10th century and is marked by ancient stone crosses.

We are leaving Buckland Abbey at 0700 on Saturday 26th June 2010 and aim to be at Buckfast by 1800.

I first met Simon at the OPM club at Plymouth College, Simon was chairman of the OPM Rugby club and I am chairman of the OPM Hockey club.

A friend of the family, Mike Dyer, died from this terrible illness a a couple of years ago and by launching this fundraising drive Simon hopes to aid the MNDA to research this illness.
