<p>This year marks the 25th anniversary of my mum dying of Cancer. My Grandma and my Auntie have both suffered from this cruel disease in more recent years. I wanted to mark the anniversary by doing something different.</p> <p>And believe me, (and those that know me well will) running a marathon is as different as I could get. And while I am doing it I thought it would be appropriate if anyone wanted to sponsor my effort, that any donations would go to a cancer charity that will support people in my local area.</p> <p><br />So if you would like to laugh at my progress, I am keeping a blog of my training (called Run Fatboy Run) on my personal blog.
