 WHAT can we say?

 A VERY BIG THANK YOU!

 Our site alone has raised £750.00 for the Jessie May Trust. This is not the total amount raised as there are other websites for the same charity at the same event. We know that Jo & Brad’s website has also raised approximately £810.00 so our family and friends between them have raised in excess of £1,560.00.

 We have been totally overwhelmed by the amazing response from everyone and are very grateful to you all for your fantastic contributions.

 Despite our team having the heaviest drummer at the front of the boat (Ian) we competed in three races and then reached the semi finals! As pirates we were the most photographed team and had the rescue boats in a total panic about the height of the extra weight in the front!

Our first race time was 1m 17secs as a result of immense teamwork in the paddling section. We won the first race, came second in the second race, won the third race and were beaten by a minuscule dragon’s head in the semi final. Our time in the semi final was an amazing 6 seconds faster than our first race time – again down to the fantastic pulling power of our tremendous team of paddlers and their total dedication to the job in hand.

 We all had an amazing fun day with results that make it all so worthwhile.
