Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Sue Burrell (from the BPA) has 'roped' us both in to complete the RideLondon-Surrey100 on our NEW bikes on the 10 August 2014 to raise funds for the BPA!

We will both be training hard over the coming months in order to be ready to ride 100 miles in one day in London. In addition, we will be completing various other training events in Norfolk to ensure that we are in the best possible shape.

The British Porphyria Association (BPA) is a small charity that works hard to support people living in the UK and Ireland with porphyria. Ian's wife Sue (who has acute intermittent porphyria) is a trustee and volunteer for the charity which holds various events across the UK to offer patients and their families information and support. In addition, the BPA helps to support research while offering education to new doctors and nurses.  More information on the BPA and the work they do can be seen on the website, here: www.porphyria.org.uk and via patient stories that are available on YouTube, here: http://www.youtube.com/user/acuteporphyrias/videos.
