Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Well I did it as you can see!

The £1,000 required was raised, so I shaved 25 years of facial fuzz off on Friday the 20th of November. As you can see from the photo, the beard is well and truly gone.  Although we are still short of my target of £2,000  (If I don't get to £2,000 then the dog gets shaved as well as me! See the other photos) , so I still need more people to sponsor me.

A video of the event is now up onYou Tube. Click on this link www.youtube.com/ianmarrow

With any luck I'll get some more videos and pictures of the event up soon.

We were having a discussion at work about what we could do to raise money for Children In Need this year.  All the usual Fancy Dress, Sponsored Walk/Run/Crawls came out before somebody suggested that I shave my beard off.

I was reluctant to do it, having spent 25 years carefully nurturing and grooming my fuzz.  I was also looking forward to a lucrative retirement, once my hair turned completely white, as a Department Store Father Christmas.

So not wanting to do it, I said only if they could raise £1,000 thinking that they would never get anywhere near that amount.  Unfortunately it has almost been reached after about a week of fund raising around the office, so I've decided that if it is going to happen I'd raise my sights and try to get up to £2,000.
