Total Warrior 10 mile Challenge!! · 5 August 2012 ·

In our 70th anniversary year, we are currently raising funds to develop our Newstart Hall, transforming it from the tired hall it is today, into the region’s Centre of Excellence for health and well-being for people with disabilities.

Story

This year, along with 25 other hardy souls, I will be taking on the Total Warrior challenge. This is a brutal 10 mile assault course including running through fire, swimming through muddy lakes, clambering over 7ft walls, getting electric shocks and generally punishing my body to its limits. Oh, and to top it off, we'll be embarrassing ourselves by dressing as WWF wrestlers from the 90's... personally, I shall be dressed as Mick Foley better know as Cactus Jack and Mankind.

(If you'd like to see exactly what's in store for us, look at www.totalwarrior.co.uk

We are raising money for Portland College, a national specialist college for people with disabilities, the college has students from all over the UK. The college has a strong sports department but are desperate for a new Sports Centre to provide more sporting opportunities for disabled people. The money we raise will be put towards that. Last year we completed the national 3 peaks challenge and raised just over £4000 and we are hoping to raise even more this time round by completing this crazy challenge.

Any money you can donate will be very gratefully appreciated

Thanks in advance

Have a nice day!
