Story
Two Brothers, One Mission
To reach the Arctic Circle riding the notoriously unreliable 1930s designed Ural motorbike & sidecar across the frozen wastelands of Siberia during the ice-cold month of February 2013, all in the aid of Operation Smile.
Operation Smile is an international charity providing safe reconstructive surgery for children, whose lives would otherwise be blighted by facial deformities which frequently leave them unable to eat, speak or smile.
To help raise funds for this worthy cause, my brother and I will be navigating these classic Russian 3-wheel contraptions over 2,000kms of ice-roads and frozen rivers from Irbit at the foot of the Ural Mountains to Salekhard – the only town in the world to be located on the Arctic Circle. Temperatures will typically be -30C, and likely to fall to -50C.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
