July 2013: Build the Legacy

Funds are still needed to help the day to day running of the hospital. Medicines and services will be provided free of charge to the poor and needy. This is a critical phase to get the facility fully operational. Thereafter, MDAUK can begin to bring volunteer UK medical professionals over to train the local Doctors, Nurses and Midwives.

Please continue to support MDAUK as they move from construction to a fully operating medical facility. MDAUK continues with 0% admin, all your donations go to the medicine and treatment on the ground.

The building is ready, now we need to build the legacy!

Apr 2013: Muzaffarabad MDAUK Hospital Opens.

Your funds have also provided support to a new Hospital in the earthquake ravaged region of Muzaffarabad. The first phase of the hospital has just been opened with outpatient facilities. The hospital will be a state of the art facility providing teaching facilities for local doctors, nurses and midwives. UK volunteer specialist will be in the region to provide their services.

The next phase is to open the operating, inpatient and therapy facilities.

Dec 2012: Sindh Village Project Completed!!

The Village is completed. 100+ homes, including electricity, water and sewage have been provided. See photos on this justgiving site for a view of the newly constructed homes. The video will show you the devastation we encountered during the flood disaster. Visit www.mdauk.co.uk for photos for the opening of the newly named Nur Goth Village inaugurated by Abdul Sattar Edhi

The Edhi Foundation joined our initiative and provided the funding and support for a school in the Village. Please continue to provide your ongoign support for all these families and the future of the village will remain for many years to come.

Note, MDAUK are 0% admin so 100% of your donation will go to the efforts on the ground.

October 2010:

I travelled to Pakistan personally with Ivor O'Toole, Abid Hussain, Shaz Amir and Sajjad Rashid to help with the relief effort. Our primary purpose was to ensure that that money donated reaches the people. Going forward the funds are focused on helping rebuild a village in Shakarpur, Sindh and a UK style hospital for the poor in Muzzafarabad.

MDAUK was set up to work on the relief effort after the 2005 earthqake, subsequently they have been providing medical aid in Northern pakistan and are building a speciailist faculty for patient treatment. Following the floods MDAUK was able to respond to areas where no other NGOs have been able to reach. This is a Zero admin Charity with 100% of the donations going to the Pakistan relief efforts.
