My story

Hi

Thanks so much for reading this to help raise money for Zichron Menachem. Zichron Menachem is just the most amazing charity - it is a cancer organisation based in Israel helping ill children and their families cope with this terrible disease.

I visited Zichron Menachem in Jerusalem some time ago and I decided to grow my hair and cut it to make a wig for a sick child who has lost theirs. However short I cut my hair - it will always grow back, that is not the case for everyone.

Zichron Menachem provides services free to anyone in need in Israel - anyone - be they Jewish, Arab, rich or poor. The ZM day centre allows sick children who cannot go to school to enjoy a wide range of activities and to continue their studies. ZM also runs so many activities and programs to support sick children that I can’t list them all here, but here are a few: Summer camps, winter camps and other adventure camps, birthday and holiday parties, sports therapy, art therapy, drama therapy, electronics club, the list goes on and on.

Please, please help support this wonderful charity by donating as much as you can afford to - all their services are given for free, so they really need our support.

I will be having my hair cut on Feb 1st

The Israeli Association for the Support and assistance of children with cancer and their families, Zichron Menachem in the UK arranges and pays for respite camps for the children and their parents. It also encourages the donation of hair to bring a smile to a child suffering from cancer's face by the provision of a made to measure wig and so restore their self-confidence.
