Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I was due to climb Kilimanjaro in February but due to an accident where I slipped on the ice and damaged my back I will have to post pone this climb until September.
So over 10 days in September I will attempt to climb Kilimanjaro. It's the tallest free standing mountain in the world and I will hopefully reach the dizzy heights of 5895m (19,340ft) at the top.
Yes it's mad, yes it's crazy but my main reason for doing it is to raise some much needed cash for the Imagine Appeal at Alder Hey Children's Hospital.
The IMAGINE Appeal supports the pioneering work undertaken at Alder Hey Children's Hospital in Liverpool. Donations help make a difference by enabling the hospital to research medical conditions, buy vital equipment, build a better environment and provide dedicated facilities for children and their families.
These guys need every penny to carry on their fantastic work looking after sick children - what can be more important than that!
A couple of years ago they looked after our eldest daughter Ella and we were humbled and the whole experience made us truly realise what is important in life.
So wish me luck as I embark on the climb of my life - I will be giving it everything to succeed. And if by any chance anyone out there would like to join me please contact me on celinecarney@msn.com.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.
