Great South Run 2017 · 22 October 2017 ·

EVERY 90 SECONDS someone in the UK is admitted to hospital with an acquired brain injury (ABI). There are many possible causes, such as a fall, a road traffic accident, an assault, a tumour or a stroke. A brain injury can happen to anyone, at any time. When it does, we're here to help

Story

I'm taking part in the Great South Run (that's 10miles...16km!!) with our amazing team of friends, to support our amazing friend Tom who recently suffered a serious head injury whilst on holiday in Slovenia. Tom had signed up for the run to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust, in memory of his great friend Sam, who sadly passed away to cancer last year.

So, between us, we shall be raising money for Headway UK - a charity that works to improve life after brain injury, and also the Teenage Cancer Trust. Headway UK is also a charity very close to my heart, since my cousin suffered a life changing serious brain injury back in 2012 - so this means a lot!

I would be so so grateful for any support and donations!

See you at the finish line! xx
