Berlin Marathon 2013 · 29 September 2013 ·

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

G'day! Impala the Koala here.

Colin and I are going to run the Berlin Marathon in September 2013. That's 42 kilometres of toil and pain, apparently - and it's EVEN FURTHER for me because I've only got little legs.

Anyway - we're doing this to raise money and awareness for the Alzheimer's Society because Colin lost his grandmother - who suffered from dementia - last year and we both want to do something amazing in her honour.

Traditionally, I embezzle some proportion of any money that Colin sees, but JustGiving seems to have made that impossible in this case. That means you can give as much as you like safe in the knowledge that I can't get my grubby paws on it - it goes straight to the Society. (If you can Gift Aid it, please do - that will mean even more money goes to them.)

We'd be so grateful for anything you can spare - we want to raise lots of money and help people like Colin's nan.
