Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
The donations you make are in memory of my much loved Husband Craig Hellewell who died on the 6th May 2009 from a PE.
- What is a pulmonary embolism (PE)?
An embolism is when a part of the clot ‘breaks off’ and travels around the body eventually blocking an artery. An example of this is a pulmonary embolism when part of the clot from a deep vein thrombosis breaks off, moves up the leg, through the heart and lodges in a lung artery or pulmonary artery. This process is known as embolisation, and the piece of clot is called an embolus.
My friends and I shall be walking the Yorkshire 3 Peaks to raise money for Lifelood - The Thrombosis Charity on Saturday 19th September 2009. Family and Friends made donations to Lifeblood instead of giving flowers on the day of the cremation which was greatly appreciated and we now want to raise more funds for this very worth while Charity.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate.
Thanking you in anticiaption.
Lisa Hellewell
