Mike Wallace died suddenly in New Jersey USA on 16 August 2010.  His loss will be keenly felt by family, friends and colleagues alike.  The great loves of Mike's life were his family, his work as a consultant clinical biochemist and researcher in Glasgow and beyond, and the great outdoors, particularly in his native Scotland and the recently discovered joys of the national parks of California and Colorado.
