Mr Clive Nigel Birley 1973-2008.  Our son, our brother, our nephew, our cousin, our friend.

Clive was born in on 26th January 1973, attended and worked locally for Regency Furniture, Fogarty, and Rooftech.
He loved to travel and meet people. Realising older brother Andy was having far too much fun on his own on a Kibbutz, his first trip was to .

The friends made there led him to , where he worked in the famous Doyles Fish Restaurant in , spent some time with Andy in  in , and made more friends working in the building trade with his brother.

It wasn't long before he was encouraged by friends to sample ’s  scenery, culture and hospitality. This he did with enthusiasm accompanied by a lady friend to Andy and Jo's wedding in Phuket: a brilliant time for all.

He loved to get home for some good home cooking and see his mum Gill, and  catch up with his mates. As soon as he set foot in the door the phone would ring: Brendan, Wink, Rob or someone else would want to know what he was doing that night.

For the last four years Clive lived in Nottingham, working as an I.T.Technician for the H.P.A at the . His popularity there was shown by the number of people at his funeral - once again I would thank all those who came.

Clive was a keen mountain-biker, and enjoyed going out with Jim and the others.  He got a  "buzz" from hurtling down really steep hills and scaring the living daylights out of himself.  He also enjoyed just relaxing with Alvin, Jason, Robbie, Jim and Pittsy, swapping stories over a beer and a B.B.Q.  He had also found an interest in cooking - and apparently wasn't bad- no doubt encouraged by Alvin who would have given him the benefit of his expertise.

Clive was fun, vibrant, friendly and unselfish: he always put others before himself. He gave so much to us all, and touched all our lives in so many ways. We are fortunate to have known him.

He was a unique and beautiful person and we will never forget him.
