My story
As those of us who knew Wayne all know, Wayne actively supported causes and charities that were dear to his heart. So in honour of this, we have set up this page to continue to help support one of his favourite charities – Over The Wall. Instead of buying flowers, you may choose to send a donation to this worthy cause.
“Three years ago I took a call out of the blue from a guy who told me he ran a drinks company and was very interested in the work done by Over The Wall. My dealings with Wayne were always to the point! He explained that he would like to support us and I should stay in touch. I never need asking twice….
After a respectable period of time I emailed Wayne to ask if he would like to run the British London 10k for us, he didn’t hestiate and I have very fond memories of seeing Wayne flashing past our cheering post in his bright yellow OTW running vest with a big grin on his face. He was very fast.
Wayne continued to support Over The Wall by running for us again the following year and then this year he came along to a lunch at the House of Lords where I did notice him doing some business with one of our Lords – Wayne was never one to miss an opportunity.

We provide activity camps for children and young people affected by serious illnesses. These young people frequently lack confidence as a result of prolonged and isolating treatment. At camp we create a fun and positive environment where our campers can act their age without worrying about their illnesses. In the presence of others facing similar challenges, feelings of isolation are overcome, confidence grows and friendships are made.
