I know I'm really fortunate. I've got a family I love, a comfortable lifestyle and a job I enjoy. This autumn I have the chance to put something back. And by supporting Save the Children, I'll be doing something that isn't just about me or those close to me, but about helping children for whom every day is a struggle, because of poverty, war or simply because of where they were born.

My company is sponsoring 12 places on a yacht that's taking part in the ARC 2014 race across the Atlantic from Gran Canaria to St Lucia in November. I am absolutely delighted to have been chosen as one of the 12!

I know it will be real challenge. I'm also hoping it will be great fun. But there is a serious point to it. Save the Children is the selected charity that will receive ALL the money we raise between now and the end of the year.
