Cobham Challenge 2016 - Lake District Legacy · 25 June 2016

The Foundation, established by Willmott Dixon Group, is part of a community investment programme, giving money and staff time to charities and local community projects. It also backs causes supported by our employees in their own time and makes a contribution to their fundraising.

Story

Over 150 colleagues from the Cobham and Dartford offices of Willmott Dixon Construction will be taking part in the 2016 Cobham Challenge - Lake District Legacy!

This year we will be raising funds to support Chestnut Tree House. This is the only children's hospice in East and West Sussex and cares for over 280 children and young adults from 0-25 years of age with progressive life-limiting conditions from Sussex and South East Hampshire. There are potentially 1,000 families with life-limited children in Sussex. Chestnut Tree House offers support for the whole family including psychological and bereavement support, end of life and short break care and sibling support.

As our name suggests this year we are heading to the Lakes! Our challenge will take place by the lake of Ullswater commencing 24th June.

Our team will undertake a challenge like no other, Why? So we can make a difference... And here's what I'm going to do:

Day one

 - A challenging 16 mile mountain bike through Whinlatter Forest

Day two

- A 13 mile hike summiting Helvelyn followed immediately by a 13 mile team canoe event, travelling the length of Ullswater and back.
