BUPA Great North Run 2009 · 20 September 2009 ·

DELTA believes that the vast majority of deaf children can learn to listen and talk and that all parents of deaf children should be given this option. It's aim is to promote the education of hearing impaired children through their residual hearing capacity and naturally spoken language.

Story

What else is there to say... we've entered the Great North Run at verrrrrry short notice. With less than two weeks to go we're getting decidedly nervous and have decided to get into training by practising various fancy dress.

We're running for DELTA, a fantastic charity that helps deaf children and their parents. The theme is 'listening and talking', helping deaf children to make the most of what hearing they have in order to learn to talk. It's a little known charity that has done fantastic work over the years, transforming the lives of so many families.

Thanks for taking the time to read this. Any donation, no matter how much, is appreciated immeasurably.

Event commentary and photos of the fancy dress we decide on to follow!!
