My story

I will be raising money to bring two disadvantaged youths from Basingstoke YMCA on an educational and inspirational expedition to some of the most remote areas of South Africa. We will be joining groups from Eastbourne YMCA, Hailsham YMCA, Romford YMCA and the Easbourne Foyer on the 2012 Inner Journey Project. Not only will the Inner Journey Project be an outer journey to some of the worlds most diverse ecologies and cultures but it will also be an inner journey of challenge and self discovery that will help young people to realise their full potential. The Inner Journey Project will be a three week expedition that will allow young people to experience first hand the affect and importance of cultural diversity, ecology, sustainable farming, deforestation, HIV and AIDS, hunting and poaching and many more critical world issues. This unique project will provide young people with perspective, knowledge and confidence so that they may have a more positive influence on their own lives...and it works!
