Story
We will be journeying along the historic Trans Pennine Trail, departing the urban landscape of Manchester, for the winding riverside paths. Adventuring through the stunning Peak District before arriving at the 50 km mark at Penistone.
MedEquip4Kids are a self-fundingcharity and rely entirely on donations from the public. They work with medical staff, community nurses and other registered charities to provide equipment and improved facilities that are not readily available within the NHS' limited budgets.
Larger hospitals are able to employ fundraisers to secure extra cash the NHS can’t provide, yet smaller hospitals and community teams don’t have this luxury and it’s common to find nurses and paramedics fundraising in their own spare time to meet the deficit.
MedEquip4Kids strongly believe that these staff should be focusing on what they do best … and that’s caring for children … so the charity's aim is to fundraise on their behalf.
All monies raised are spent directly on the items they request and no money is passed on to any third party.
