Ipswich Hospital Abseil · 11 July 2010

We care for children & young people with life-threatening conditions across Cambs, Essex, Norfolk & Suffolk and support their families. This can be at home, in hospital or at one of three hospices at Milton, The Treehouse and The Nook. We rely on voluntary donations for the majority of our income.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

The annual Ipswich Hospital charity abseil is just around the corner. Tomorrow, (Sunday 11 July), three fearless individuals will miss the British Grand Prix and place their lives in the hands of British health and safety regulations and abseil down the maternity block!

Following previous events participated in in aid of EACH, it's nice to take part in one where there are no early starts to go running and no aching muscles. That said, some of us may have changed our minds when the time comes to dangle ourselves over the edge and look down...

Why we are abseiling...

EACH’s hospice in Ipswich was opened in 1999 and as a pilot project and demand has increased so much over this time that they have simply outgrown it. EACH were very generously donated a four acre plot of land on which they have obtained planning permission for a new 6 bed roomed hospice. They have just launched The Treehouse Appeal to raise the £3million required to be able to build it and need everybody’s help to make this much needed project come to life. This exciting project will enable EACH to provide more care to more families throughout Suffolk and North Essex so please help me to make the new hospice a reality.
