On the 24th August 2019 myself and 28 members of our local Fatburn Extreme Class #teamfabulous will be conquering the highest mountain in the British Isles. 

I never thought I would be taking on a challenge like this, this time last year I wouldn't have had the confidence or fitness to even contemplate it! However I'm ready to give it everything I've got and I know with the support of #teamfabulous we will get to the top and raise an amazing amount of money for a worthy charity.

All of this is in memory of a dear friend of one of our team. Please read the story below on how she came to organise this and the reason we are all behind her......

On the 19th March last year, Scott, at the young age of 46, lost his short battle with cancer. Scott was a cracking guy, a true gent and also the husband of our friend Justine.

Justine has dealt with the last year with such resilience and is just simply the most caring and strongest person along with her two wonderful, wonderful kids, Andrew and Lucy.Scott fought heroically and he fought with courage and dignity spending his final days being cared for by the truly exceptional staff at St. Andrews Hospice in Airdrie. The care and attention Scott received was just remarkable. To honour Scott's memory, this year 28 members of #Team Fabulous are joining forces with #TeamDoc to take on the Ben Nevis challenge on the 24 August to raise essential funds for the Hospice.

With Scott always in our thoughts, this climb and all of the #TeamFabulous fundraising events will be in memory of all of the people who have spent their final days at the Hospice, along with their families and to contribute to the daily running and future use of the Hospice's services.
