<p>Irene was admitted to Cheltenham General Hospital suffering from acute lymphoblastic leukaemia in mid November, however she did not survive the intensive chemotheraphy treatment prescribed. Most leukaemia patients, like Irene, have to have an extended stay in hospital. LINC helps fund additional facilities there to make this period more comfortable for them.
