Please read our update to see how together we are helping this fantastic charity save lives:
05 April 2012 - Costa Coffee Bournemouth: Generous donations made for 'Wallace & Gromits Cots for Tots Appeal' in collection boxes by staff and students at Bournemouth University raised £87.37 - a huge thank you to all.... every penny really does count.... the coffee was great too!
19 Sept 2011 We have kindly been donated gorgeous fabric by Cath Kidston Ltd to make blankets and pillow slips for the unit - Julie will be asking for volunteers with sewing machines to stitch together sheets for the incubators which will be used to brighten things up for the babies and families in the Neonatal Unit.........
Feb 2012: We have now made lots of beautiful incubator quilts and pillow sheets that will make a real difference to the parents of each baby they are given to. When a baby is in an incubator in intensive care you have no way of holding them or looking after them in a way that you would do normally or at home - so a simple pretty blanket where you can 'tuck baby in' or lay baby on top of can help the bonding process enourmously by personalising the environment and giving baby an identity. Grace was amazing by cutting every one out with Julie, she loved matching pretty fabrics with soft pink, white, purple or blue fleece to make each one individual. Ruth, a dear friend of the family has excelled in her support stiching together each quilt with great pride. Huge thanks to all who have helped make this happen! XX
20 Sept 2011 Friends & colleagues are actively planning fun fund raising activities to really support Neil & Julie in boosting funds
21 October 2011 No School Uniform day has been suggested by Grace and her friends & is planned for the end of term - at £1 donation for everyone who doesnt like the uniform it should be a popular way of raising funds!
An amazing response by friends and family, Bournemouth University and local businesses who donated prizes making the success of a fantastic raffle that raised well over £1000! Huge thanks to all who baked such amazing cakes...... the cake sale alone raised nearly £400! Jan 2012: Screwfix held a staff fun day which raised £200 - thanks to all who generously gave your time and money Ruth asked for money for Christmas instead of presents - generously giving to the charity - Thank you so much Ruth X 21 October 2011 Jams & Chutneys being made by Julie and sold locally - grand total to follow shortly.... already at over £300! .........Huge thanks to all staff and customers at the Hair Shop in Yeovil and Shepton Beauchamp Stores ...... you are amazing!
