Story
6 months ago a policeman came into our work and told us our friend and colleague Vicky had been in a near fatal accident. She had been knocked off of her bike by a skip lorry, only minutes away from the office. Her injuries were life threatening but thankfully, her life was saved by the incredible work of London’s Air Ambulance. Vicky was given a pioneering treatment called REBOA that helped to control her blood loss. This wouldn't have been possible without LAA.
Currently there is only 1 helicopter serving 10 million people. I would like to do what I can to help contribute to getting a second LAA helicopter up in the air.
Come along and laugh at me crying the entire way down...
