Asda Foundation Sheffield Half Marathon 2019 · 14 April 2019 ·
Hey! Thanks for stopping by!
I'm Isaiah & I study Biomedical Science at the University of Sheffield. As part of my courses annual charity week I'm going to be fundraising for Anthony Nolan in support of their great work. I'm grateful for any support you can manage!
For my first event I've decided to take on a challenge; the Sheffield ADSA Foundation Half Marathon (April 14th). A 13.1 mile run from Sheffield centre into the Peak District and back. Also my first half marathon!
For my final event I'll be diving out a plane at 3000ft in my first ever sky-dive! (May 4th).
Pictures and videos from both events will be shared on my FaceBook & Instagram accounts. So don't forget to stop by there after my final event to check out my progress!
Every day, Anthony Nolan saves the lives of people with a blood cancer or blood disorder. They do this by matching incredible individuals willing to donate their stem cells to people who desperately need a lifesaving transplant. Anthony Nolan also carry out cutting edge scientific research, fund specialist post-transplant nurses and support patients and their families through the transplant process and beyond. They won’t stop until they save the lives of everyone who needs a stem cell transplant. Every penny you donate brings Anthony Nolan closer to that day.
Where will the money go?
It costs £40 to sign someone up to the stem cell register - the money I raise will go towards this along with their research and support!
77% is spent on lifesaving transplants, 8% on research to make transplants more successful, 8% is spent on raising funds, 6% on education and awareness and just 1% is spent on governance.Every day, Anthony Nolan saves the lives of people with a blood cancer or blood disorder.
