Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Over the Easter Holiday's I walked the West Highland Way with my dog Jack.
This was a 96 mile trail linking Glasgow to Fort William in the Scottish Highlands, the route passed through loch's, mountains and open moorland. On the day of the Royal Wedding, I ended the walk by accending 4,409ft to reach the summitt of Ben Nevis. I did this without any outside support and carried everything we needed along the way including the tent, food and water.
I chose to do this walk to raise money for Manchester Women's Aid who support victims of domestic violence.
One incident of domestic violence is reported to the police every minute and
On average, 2 women a week are killed by a current or former male partner.
Victims and their children are at most risk when they are about to leave their abusive partner
£1.00 will buy a replacement SIM card for a mobile phone
£3.00 will buy a personal attack alarm
£10.00 will buy approx 50 discreet saftey plans.
so if Jack & I can do something to help no matter how small it is we will try to do it.
If you are looking at this page please donate to help us to try and help others.
Thanks,
Ishbel (and Jack)
