Heather and Ishbel's Land's End to John O'Groats Cycle · 30 June 2015

Alzheimer Scotland is the leading, national dementia charity in Scotland. Our mission is to make sure nobody faces dementia alone. We provide advice, information and support and we are here for people living with dementia, their families and carers across Scotland.

Story

5 go on a great adventure with a purpose: Land's End to John O'Groats.  It started with Heather wanting to fund raise for the charity after losing her father to the illness.  Ishbel has had it on her bucket list since 1997 and the charity is also very close to her heart.  On turning 50, we decided to start making plans. So, 'Girls on Tour'!

However, Bill, John and Rod also decided that the challenge should be taken up and all greed that raising money to help find a cure for this illness was a worthy cause.

Averaging 50 miles a day, a leisurely pace, we'll be checking out interesting sights and refreshments(!!) along the way.  With a guaranteed southerly wind and the sun on our backs, it's bound to be the 1.000 mile cycle of a life time!!
