This rare condition affects around 10,000 people in the UK but doctors do not fully understand the cause and there is currently no known cure. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify; mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; color: black; font-family: Arial;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>A dedicated team at the specialist Kidney Unit at Bristol Children's hospital is researching the disorder in hope of finding a cure. </span><span style="font-size: 11pt; color: black; font-family: Arial;">This research work is funded solely by charitable donations and grants and has to proceed on a project-by-project basis. The <a href="http://www.nstrust.co.uk/index.php"><span style="mso-bidi-font-size: 12.0pt;">Nephrotic Syndrome Trust</span></a> is a dedicated charity set up to raise money to fund this vital research. The Trust aims to raise awareness of the disease and funds for research to find a cure that will help our Emily and many others. </span></p>
