Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I will be throwing myself out of a plane (I’m mad I know!) on the 25th April all for a good cause raising money for Teenage Cancer Trust. Why did I decide this….? Everyone knows either a friend, family member or work colleague who has been diagnosed with cancer. Most people relate cancer to elderly people, however around seven young people aged between 13 and 24 are diagnosed with cancer every day in the UK alone, on average this accumulates to 2,555 young people a year. These statistics have motivated me to support and raise money to promote awareness for Teenage Cancer Trust, the money raised will help save lives and contribute to the expert treatment and care needed to battle cancer once and for all. As a teenager I consider myself extremely lucky and often take my health for granted, I can’t imagine what it must be like having cancer at the age of thirteen, not being able to go to school, play sports and hang out with friends this is such an important time to create relationships and bonds with the people around you. However Teenage Cancer Trust is AMAZING, it provides a safe, fun environment for young people with cancer, to create new friends, have fun and most of all be happy! I know I can’t create a cure for cancer overnight, but I can try to raise as much money as possible to improve the patients and their family lifestyle during this hard time. Any support or donations would be appreciated, thank you for your invaluable support!
